Pool Information for Hatfield Sports Village
(Free admission for guests at the Ramada Jarvis)
A 25-metre swimming pool as well as a top-class Gymnasium is available to us at the following times, according to current information. Simply ask at Ramada reception for 'Sports Village admission'; access to gymnasiums usually requires you to fill out a 'Medical Checklist' first. Note that there is also a gymnasium in the Ramada Jarvis hotel.
Sports Village Gymnasium: any time subject to demand.
Swimming Pool:
SATURDAY: 8am - 5pm (or 10pm by special request)
SUNDAY: 8am - 5pm
MONDAY to FRIDAY: 6.45am - 10pm
RULES for the Sports Village:
- Children aged between 5yrs and 7yrs must be accompanied by an adult, over the age of sixteen, at a ratio of one aduly to two children
- Children under the age of five must be accompanied by an adult, over the age of sixteen, at a ratio of one adult to one child
- All children under the age of eight must keep within a 3m radius of their responsible adult
- Children aged eight and over must use their own sex changing rooms
- Toys including woggles are to be used only in the learner pool
- All children in nappies need to wear 'swim nappies'
- No standing on floats
- No dive-bombing
- No diving (including sitting dives)
- All members of public/contractors who are fully clothed must be accompanied around poolside by a member of staff
- All outdoor shoes must either be removed or covered with shoe covers when on poolside
- All swimmers must leave the water during all pool resets
- The use of cameras, camcorders or any other recording equipment, including mobile phones, is strictly prohibited
- Please inform lifeguards of any medical conditions
- Kickboards are not to be used as buoyancy aids
- No masks, snorkels, flippers or hand paddles to be used in public sessions
- No running along poolside
- No throwing of any equipment, including locker keys
- No acrobatics, flipping, standing on shoulders etc
- Public are not allowed to stand, sit, walk etc on the boom
- No hanging off of, or sitting on the lane ropes
- Shorts must be knee length or above
- Please shower before entering the pool
